The Connecticut Huskies have covered all four of their NCAA Tournament games beating Chattanooga, Texas A&M, Purdue and Missouri by a combined 101 points. It most likely will not be that easy on Saturday when they take on the Michigan State Spartans and the huge Detroit crowd.

UConn is listed as a 4.5-favorite but the way the Spartans have been playing, an upset would not be a shock.
Can Goran Suton work his magic on the perimeter again and try to pull Hasheem Thabeet away from the basket?

If the Huskies defend the three better than Louisville did they should be in good shape. The Spartans are only an average three-point shooting team on the year.

The Huskies, unlike Louisville, will be fine in a halfcourt battle with the Spartans. The Spartans' home-state advantage can only take them so far.

Both teams are 4-0 ATS in their last four neutral site games. Get all your NCAA Tournament odds in the Bodog Sportsbook.

This was a season Jim Calhoun was building for, running out a deep, experienced, and talented roster that was able to sustain some critical losses and push forward. They bulldozed the West Region, winning with offense and defense and a host of different stars.

The Huskies weren’t having fun a couple of weeks ago. They came into the tournament having dropped three of seven games after losing Jerome Dyson to a knee injury late in the regular season. That included a thrilling, six-overtime defeat to Syracuse in the Big East tournament.

The Huskies are 15-14 ATS and 31-4 overall, and head into Saturday's matchup with Michigan State as 4-point faves.

Whoever is beating the Huskies is going to have to drive a stake through their heart. Be sure to get your NCAA odds with the Bodog Sportsbook today.

The 4-point underdog Spartans will take on the Connecticut Huskies in the Final Four at Detroit’s Ford Field.
The Spartans got to this point by beating Robert Morris 77-62 in the first round and USC 74-69 in the second round. Then MSU came back to beat Kansas in the regional semifinals, with the game-winning three-point play from Kalin Lucas. The Spartans suffocated Louisville in the regional final, holding the Cardinals 33 points below their NCAA scoring average.

UConn earned a trip to Detroit and extended the Big East’s dominance of the NCAA tournament.

The Huskies won as 5.5-point favorites, while the final score played over the day's posted total of 151.
UConn is headed to its third Final Four, where it will meet Big Ten powerhouse Michigan State. A.J. Price added 18 points and was named most outstanding player of the West region. But the difference was Walker, who handled the Tigers’ pressure defense.

Leo Lyons and Matt Lawrence each had 13 points for Missouri, which was long on heart but short on rebounds.

The Huskies, who have now won four straight against the spread, are still in the hunt for their third nationaltitle as a +225 favorite.
The Connecticut Huskies (29-4 SU, 13-14 ATS) have drawn the Purdue Boilermakers (27-9 SU, 15-17 ATS) in the Sweet 16 portion of the NCAA Tournament. The Boilers are about as blue-collar as you would expect a Big Ten club to be; UConn does have a nice transition game, but this team’s bread and butter is on defense. Bodies will hit the floor in Glendale.

The Huskies are well known for their inside game, and rightly so. But there’s also the very dangerous A.J. Price at point guard hitting 42.2 percent of his 3-point attempts. And Price doesn’t skimp, either, firing away six times per game from behind the arc. Purdue’s outstanding defense is better suited for the inside game, and the slower Boilers should have trouble keeping up with Price in transition. It’s enough to make UConn a full 7-point chalk.
The Huskies still have plenty of experience with the tandem of A.J. Price and Craig Austrie.

Connecticut’s size in the frontcourt can create a matchup nightmare for just about any team in the nation, but Dyson’s injury has made the backcourt a major concern.

Connecticut should have no problem with the Chattanooga Mocs on Thursday, but that lack of depth could keep the Huskies from getting to Detroit.

The Mocs finished under .500 in the regular season, then got hot and won their conference tournament on their home floor. Keeping up with UConn would be considered a victory for the Mocs.

The Huskies will be heavy faves but don't bank on a cover. They are only 1-6 ATS in their last 7 games overall. Be sure to get your NCAA odds with the Bodog Sportsbook today.

Pittsburgh is a game behind UConn and Louisville in the standings heading into the season finale, but the Panthers own the tiebreaker against both clubs. Whoever takes this matchup will also move closer to securing a No. 1 seed at March Madness.

Pitt was the 76-68 winner when these two clubs met three weeks ago, cashing in as 2.5-point road dogs. The Huskies have won three games since at 1-2 ATS; the Panthers are 3-1 SU and 2-2 ATS, with the defeat coming at the hands of Providence (+9) to lose their grip on the top ranking in the AP poll. On Thursday, Pittsburgh point guard Levance Fields was diagnosed with a lower back contusion and pegged as questionable for Saturday.
Calhoun hit the 800-win mark in Wednesday’s 93-82 triumph at hobbling Marquette (+1).

Brey is 240-128 lifetime in stints at Maryland and Notre Dame, and he’s the reigning two-time Big East Coach of the Year, but there won’t be a third in 2009. True, the Irish have won four of their last five to inch closer to the NCAA Tournament bubble, but getting in would be a travesty of justice. Notre Dame was 2-3 ATS during that span, coughing up the cash at home to USF (+13.5) and Rutgers (+14).

The Huskies (-2) beat Notre Dame 69-61 last month in South Bend. The Irish defense gets even worse on the road, where the over is a tasty 7-3.

Two of those teams collide on Wednesday night at Milwaukee’s Bradley Center when the No. 8 Marquette Golden Eagles (23-4 SU, 11-10-1 ATS) host the No. 2 Connecticut Huskies (25-2 SU, 10-11 ATS).

Neither club has done well against the spread recently, each going 1-4 ATS over the past five games. But handicappers have loaded up their wallets by betting the under. UConn, led by 7-foot-3 behemoth Hasheem Thabeet, has the under on a 5-1 run and 14-7 on the season. Marquette’s defense is a bit more suspect, but the under is still 4-2 during the past six games.

ESPN has the television coverage of this titanic battle starting at 7:00 p.m. Eastern, so we’ll be there with live betting from the opening tip to the final buzzer.

Even though the Seton Hall Pirates enter Saturday's game against the top-ranked Connecticut Huskies riding a five-game winning streak it is hard to envision a scenario where the Pirates can upset the Huskies.

None of the wins in the Pirates’ current run have come against a team with a winning record in Big East play, but they will be entering this game with a lot more confidence than they took into their first meeting with the Huskies on Jan. 18.

Seton Hall lost by 15 when the teams met in Storrs, as A.J. Price scored 23 points and Hasheem Thabeet added 15 points and 17 rebounds for the Huskies.

Seton Hall won't have to worry about Jerome Dyson this time around. He was injured on Wednesday and requires surgery on his right knee and could miss the rest of the season. UConn has covered in five of their last six games. Be sure to get your college basketball odds before the game with Bodog!
